THE COLLABORATION
Artist Edition #2 brought Kristian von Hornsleth’s confrontational visual universe into a limited-edition Sittingsuit. Based on his 2009 artwork, P**** POWER turns a work concerned with identity, publicity and cultural provocation into wearable art that moves through everyday life.
The collaboration was produced as a limited edition of 300 pieces worldwide.
THE ARTIST
Kristian von Hornsleth works across painting, sculpture, photography and branded objects. His practice plays with popular culture while questioning conformity, celebrity and the systems through which art and identity become public.
His own name is a recurring visual symbol throughout the work. Repeated across many different media, it becomes both signature and subject: a way of examining authorship, attention and the power of branding.
THE ARTWORK
The original artwork is extended across the Sittingsuit as an all-over visual statement. Its direct energy and graphic language shift from a fixed surface to a form worn in public, giving the work a new relationship with movement, visibility and the body.
