Florencia Galán Camps is an Argentinian visual artist whose work moves between botanical imagery and abstraction. Raised in a home of architects and artists, she grew up surrounded by structure, materials, and creative process, an influence that continues to shape her practice today.

Alongside her work as an artist, Galán Camps is trained as a historian. She studied History at the National University of Córdoba and completed a PhD at Torcuato Di Tella University, specialising in nineteenth and twentieth century history. This academic background informs her way of thinking, though her paintings remain intuitive and emotionally driven.

Her practice centres on what she calls “floras”. Living botanical forms shaped by feeling, memory, and daily experience. Nature is not treated as a motif to be replicated, but as a language through which color, rhythm, and movement can unfold. Her compositions often balance structure with spontaneity, allowing painted forms to feel both grounded and in motion.

Galán Camps has exhibited internationally, with shows across Spain and appearances in cultural and environmental contexts, including painting in connection with the United Nations Ocean Conference in Lisbon. Whether working in the studio or outdoors, her paintings reflect a deep connection to natural environments and the emotional states they evoke.
